Shining Bright: Exploring the Diamond Days Event and the Antwerp World Diamond Center

I recently traveled to Belgium specifically for the Diamond Days event and one of the highlights of my trip was visiting the Antwerp World Diamond Center.

The historical setting of the Antwerp Diamond Bourse added a sense of grandeur to the event as this beautiful building holds great significance and has a rich history in the diamond industry.

The event truly celebrated the timeless elegance and allure of diamonds and gemstones.

Like the organizers, I strongly believe that every transaction begins with a connection, and during my time there, my goal was to establish and nurture those connections.

As a Brand Advisor I was also interested in studying how diamond brands engage with their customers and their marketing strategies.

My main purpose in attending was to uncover the secrets of the diamond world's Customer Experience.

Meeting and forming relationships with individuals in the industry was an incredible experience for me. I particularly enjoyed engaging with experts and creatives who shared their knowledge and experiences.

One person whose story intrigued me was a diamond jeweler who frequently incorporates yellow Zimi diamonds into heir creations, which shimmer brightly like the sun. Ilana Brandwain's podcast https://noblefinejewellery.com/category/podcast-obad/ and her efforts to uplift women in the diamond industry made a lasting impression on me.

During my visit, I also took part in a seminar organized by HRD Antwerp and obtained a certificate. Thanks to the generosity of a diamond brand I became acquainted with, I had the amazing opportunity to visit the workshop of a highly esteemed diamond polisher. His exceptional craftsmanship and expertise in handling large diamonds have been renowned for three generations.

Additionally, I explored the Diamond District and paid a visit to the DIVA Diamond Museum, further immersing myself in the captivating world of diamonds and gemstones. https://www.divaantwerp.be/en/home/welcome-to-diva-museum-for-diamonds-jewellery-and-silver

The museum showcases over 600 objects across six themed rooms. The Wonderkamer invites visitors to delve into the world of luxury items, the Atelier provides insights into diamond cutting and silversmithing, and the International Trading Room offers a multimedia experience that highlights Antwerp's status as the diamond capital of the world.

The opulent Dining Room displays silver services, while the Vault section explains measures taken to prevent diamond theft and the importance of certificates. The Boudoir room features precious treasures and showcases jewelry trends from the 19th and 20th centuries, focusing on diamond jewelry and famous women who adorned themselves with these exquisite pieces. The trading room emphasizes the significance of trust and networking in the diamond trade.

Visitors are encouraged to actively engage with the museum by stepping into the roles of diamond miners, cutters, and polishers.
